Ayala Land Hotels and Resorts Corp. is pushing forward with plans of increasing the number of keys in its homegrown Seda-branded hotels, spurred on by the surge in domestic tourism in the Philippines and rising number of international arrivals. Their total hotels and resorts portfolio now stands at 4,058 rooms with another 1,504 rooms under construction. Ayala will be allocating P85 billion in capital expenditures this year, up 17% from 2022. That is still -53% less than the company’s pre-pandemic capex of P130 billion in 2019.

The Australian property has been rebranded as The Village Cairns. The 1,945 square meter site is situated in the center of Cairns and incorporates a three-level, mixed-use accommodation and retail complex, including the recently refurbished 200-bed Freedom Hostel and nine retain tenancies in an arcade-style configuration.
