Truist slashed estimates for Hilton Grand Vacations and Marriott Vacations, saying they hope these cuts are enough for a Vacation Ownership sector that just reported a quarter with macro-related issues and/or idiosyncratic problems. Their estimates for Travel + Leisure are basically unchanged. They slashed target prices as well, with HGV going down to $52 from $71, TNL to $60 from $65, and VAC to $136 from $159. Truist did not downgrade HGV and VAC as they do not believe their business models are broken and still have high potential free cash flow returns at the trough levels. They believe the management teams are aware of what needs to be done to iron out idiosyncratic issues and are keeping Buy ratings predicated on the assumption that management will act effectively on that knowledge.
