Highgate Plans New Hotel Near Denver International Airport

Highgate Hospitality Management is planning to build a new hotel on a 5.42-acre property in Denver, Colorado, near the airport.

The DJIA was down 155 points while Nasdaq was down 95, the S&P 500 fell 19 points, the 10-year treasury yield was up .03 to 4.37%, and lodging stocks were lower. New 52-week lows were set by RLJ, CLDT, XHR, and APLE, but there was weakness pretty much across the board once again.

The developer behind SoBro's Ritz-Carlton has been officially dropped from the deal, with the luxury hotel now pursuing a location in The Gulch in Nashville. Marriott International Inc. is no longer moving forward on its deal with M2 Development Partners to develop a two-tower Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Residences in SoBro, according to the Business Journal. The hotel company is actively working on another Ritz-Carlton project in Nashville that will be in a different location.
