The DJIA fell 180 points, the Nasdaq was down 219, the S&P 500 gave up 30 points, and the 10-year treasury yield jumped .03, all these things acting like this as oil prices started heading to where they were before the ceasefire. Lodging stocks were lower. The only big mover was SVC, down -7%.
Hotel Equities has assumed management of the TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Woodstock, Ontario; Reflections Hotel, Ascend Collection by Choice Hotels International in Kissimmee, Florida, scheduled to open in the fall of 2026; and the Courtyard by Marriott Dallas DFW Airport North/Irving in Irving, Texas.
The Westin Crystal City will officially celebrate its grand reopening on May 28 following a highly anticipated transformation. The Arlington, Virginia, property features more than 15,000 square feet of total event space and will soon introduce a new elevated restaurant and a full-service coffee bar.
