Foreign arrivals in the Philippines reached 3.3 million in the first eight months of 2023, approaching the government's annual goal of 4.8 million. South Korea was the top source of inbound tourists. However, outbound hotel and air reservations remained down compared to pre-Covid levels. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts signed three new agreements with Indonesia Hospitality Group, expanding its presence in Indonesia. HVS Anarock  released their Hotels & Hospitality Overview for  India for the second quarter. The Macao Government Tourism Office said Macau received over 93,000 daily visitors in the first three days of August, up from an average of 89,000 daily visitor arrivals in July. The Tourism Authority of Thailand is turning its focus to the Middle East with the goal of attracting 400,000 visitors from the region this year

China's summer resort tourism market reaches 1.2-1.5 trillion yuan as residents seek refuge from heat waves. STR reported China hotel RevPAR for the week ended April 29 was up 138.2% year over year.
