Gordon Haskett downgraded Airbnb to Underperform from Hold. They lowered their price target to $87 from $94. The firm also cut their rating on Booking.com to Hold from Buy. STR reported US lodging data for the week ended 1/21. RevPAR was up 26.2% year over year while up 5.6% versus 2019. The DJIA  rose 9.88 points, or little change. Nasdaq fell 0.2%; S&P 500 was barely changed. The 10-year Treasury yield fell to 3.461%.

That put all of 2022 down -15% from 2021. Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Dream Hotel Group announced an agreement for a Hyatt affiliate to acquire Dream Hotel Group’s lifestyle hotel brand and management platform. Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the opening of Rancho Pescadero , the first Hyatt branded luxury resort to debut in Todos Santos in Mexico . The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa , located in South Carolina , has embarked on a $10 million renovation.

The  DJIA  fell 94 points,  Nasdaq  was down 110, the  S&P 500  fell 27 points and the  10-year treasury yield  was up .01 to 3.89%. The parent of  Allegiant Air  said that damage from Hurricane Ian has caused the company to delay the planned opening of a resort north of Fort Myers, FL at Charlotte Harbor. Royal Investments LLC , the developer of a proposed Downtown hotel in  Louisville, KY , is seeking a new tax increment financing district for the project.
