The Regent Santa Monica Beach opened on October 1 as Regent's first U.S. hotel since IHG's 2018 acquisition, following a $150 million renovation.

Wells Fargo raised target prices on lodging stocks, including RHP, APLE, HST , and DHR , maintaining their ratings. Various hotels underwent renovations, including Courtyard Louisville Airport and Chancellor's House Hotel , while new hotels were announced, such as the Hampton Inn & Suites in Pittsburgh and Riversuites in Philadelphia.

Jefferies said the looming recession and stabilizing credit market could be positive for the prospects of timeshare, but with a harder landing not off the table, they see stocks trading at rich valuations. Truist said with earnings season about to kick into gear for the lodging sector, they continue to see macro over micro. Cambria Hotels  announced the  opening of its six-story, 121-room location in downtown Minneapolis  to complete the newly constructed dual-hotel building.
