Philippines Adds 40,000 Hotel Rooms

Leechiu Property Consultants reported 158 new hotel projects across the Philippines, adding 40,084 rooms, with full recovery in foreign arrivals expected by 2026, generating PHP250 billion in investments and 57,000 jobs.

STR reported China hotel data for the week ended October 5th. China Hotel RevPAR was up 3.3%, a solid performance considering it was up against a tough comp of +77.2% in the year ago week. The China Golden Week Holiday timing was a bit off from the previous year but there should be no doubt that this year was better than 2023.
Leechiu Property Consultants reported that private-sector hotel developers have committed to 158 new accommodation projects across the Philippines, adding a total of 40,084 rooms. LPC is projecting the Philippines will exceed its foreign arrival numbers for 2023 but is still expected to fall short of the target of 7.7 million arrivals they have for 2024.
