Al-Bahar Group Boosts Stake in Yotel

The Al-Bahar Group, the majority shareholder of Yotel, has taken an extra 30% stake, raising its total stake in Yotel to more than 95%.
The DJIA was up 235 points today, while the Nasdaq rose 151, the S&P 500 was up 38 points and the 10-year treasury yield was up .04 to 4.20%. Lodging stocks were higher, and the new 52-week lows did not include any of our names trading over $1. The only mover of note was SOND, up 5% on the day. Stocks dropped significantly after hours after Trump's tariff announcement.
STR reported U.S. lodging data for the week ended April 29. U.S. hotel RevPAR was up 7% on an easy comp due to Good Friday/Easter being in March last year versus April this year. Group RevPAR was up 55%.
