It looked like we were going to add on to Friday’s moonshot, but instead the DJIA sold off 349 points, the Nasdaq was down 47, the S&P 500 was down 28 points, and the 10-year treasury yield was up .02 to 4.28%. After the lodging REITs were some of the top performers on Friday, it was not surprising to see profit taking today, in line with the market, but the good news was that there was no real sell-off, as most lodging stocks were down 1% or so today.
McNeill Hotel Company and Kothe Real Estate Partners announced the groundbreaking for a Home2 Suites extended stay property in Twin Falls, Idaho. The new hotel is a joint venture between Kothe Real Estate Partners, who will be the primary developer, and MHC, who will also manage the property.
