The DJIA rose 69 points while the Nasdaq was up 107, the S&P 500 was up 18 points, and the 10-year treasuries finally found some buyers, with the yield falling .05 to 4.14%. Lodging stocks were modestly higher. SOND was down another 6% on the day.
BofA Securities gave Choice Hotels International a double downgrade, cutting its rating from Buy to Underperform with a $110 price target.
Ivy Hospitality has been awarded the management contract for the 157-room The Tudor Arms Hotel Cleveland, a DoubleTree by Hilton. Located in the University Circle neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio, the 12-story property features 157 guestrooms and suites, an onsite dining, a business center, a rooftop patio, an indoor pool, an onsite snack store, and a gift shop.
Construction will start next year on Ocean Kamp, a resort with San Diego County’s first artificial wave surfing lagoon, a 300-room hotel, retail shops and up to 667 homes in Ocean
