Melia Announces Plans for First Branded Residences in the U.S.

Melia Hotels International has partnered with Urban Network Capital Group to launch its first U.S. branded residences in Miami. Plus, more hotel deal and development news.

Truist and Baird started the ball rolling on earnings previews, ahead of the season for hotel companies beginning next week. Truist said they see third-quarter earnings results in line with consensus/investor expectations for hotel C-Corps and perhaps slightly above for the hotel REITs. Truist believes fourth-quarter guides will be generally as the Street is expecting for hotel C-Corps and will show slight upside vs. consensus for hotel REITs. Hyatt is Truist’s favorite name going into the third-quarter earnings season.
