The Pacific Asia Travel Association released its Annual Tourism Monitor 2025. The report highlighted the big recovery of international visitor arrivals across the Asia Pacific region. IVAs reached 647.9 million in 2024 across 46 destinations, up 24.1% from 2023. That was 91.9% of the pre-pandemic level reached in 2019. Provisional data shows that in the first half of 2025, IVAs reached 297.5 million, up 5.4% year-on-year and a 92.6% recovery to pre-pandemic levels. Asia IVAs accounted for 72.7% of the region’s total in 2024, up 30.7% from 2023. In the first half of 2025, Asia accounted for eight of the top ten destinations by volume, with 224.1 million arrivals during the period.
