New hotel openings include Hilton's Slackline Moab, Hyatt Place Bozeman and Sonesta's Dry Creek Inn; Shamin breaks ground on 270-room Virginia project.

The DJIA fell 246 points, Nasdaq was down 399, the S&P 500 fell 74 points and the 10 year treasury yield was up .05 to 4.19% but lodging stocks did not have a bad day. AHT gave back -8% in profit taking after the recent run up.

Jefferies upped their rating on IHG Hotels & Resorts to Buy from Hold. Deutsche Bank upped Accor to Buy from Hold as well.

Host Hotels announced their regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.20 per share plus announced a special dividend of $0.15 per share. Marriott Vacations Worldwide upped its quarterly dividend by a penny to $0.80 per share. VAC also extended its share repurchase authorization through December 31, 2026.

Slackline Moab, Outset Collection by Hilton, in Utah, is now accepting reservations for stays starting today. The 138-room retreat features a gear shop, an outdoor pool, flexible meeting rooms, onsite restaurant and free parking and EV charging.
