Mandarin Oriental Shareholders Approve Privatization
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and controlling shareholder Jardine Matheson reported that a majority of MOHG’s independent shareholders voted in favor of Jardine Matheson’s bid to acquire the remaining stake in the company it did not already own. The vote to be taken private needed to be more than 75%, and MOHG said 99.8% of the eligible voting bloc voted in favor. The $3.35 per share bid values the luxury hotel company at $4.2 billion. Jardine Matheson expects to complete taking MOHG private by the end of February 2026.
