The DJIA was down 404 points, a big change from the four-digit decline in the opening hour. The Nasdaq was down 232, the S&P 500 fell 65 points, and the 10-year treasury yield was up .01 to 4.06%. Lodging stocks were mixed, but it seemed like there were more in positive territory than negative.
Truist said they believe the stars are finally nearly all lining up for the vacation ownership sector. While they didn’t want to make light of solid results from Hilton Grand Vacations and Travel+Leisure, they believe the fourth quarter of 2025 was all about Marriott Vacations making initial steps towards its former blue-chip status with investors. They upped price targets on the group, with VAC upped to $97 from $81; TNL to $88 from $71, and HGV to $67 from $59.
