Hyatt Hotels is actively looking at opportunities to introduce its The Standard and UrCove brands in India, including through the help of partners. Plus, more hotel deal news.

Macau’s Secretary for Economy and Finance said it recorded over 10 million visitor arrivals in the first quarter of this year, amid steady momentum in the whole tourism sector locally. That would be a year-on-year improvement of at least 1.4% and up 11.1% from the first quarter of 2024. International visitor arrivals in 1Q26 accounted for over 750,000 entries. That compares with 682,442 in 1Q25.

The Macau Tourism Association is expecting up to 170,000 visitors per day during the upcoming May Day holidays, driven by strong post-Qingming travel demand. Between April 3 and 7, the city recorded 3.48 million entries, including 1.34 million tourists.
