Aman Plans Singapore Debut at Nation's Tallest Building

Skift Take

Aman is making its Singapore debut at The Skywaters at 8 Shenton Way, a 63-story skyscraper, in 2028. Plus more hotel deal news.

The Macao Government Tourism Office said they are projecting the city can get as many as 46.43 million visitors annually by 2030, about 33% more than the 2024 figure of 34.93 million. The number of hotel rooms is projected to grow by nearly 8% to over 52,000 from 48,333 in 2024, and is expected to be just over 49,000 rooms by the end of this year. The big problem is that the MGTO said they don’t expect to get more overnight visitors, percentage-wise, from now until 2030, so the bulk of the increase will be from day trippers. Visitors’ non-gaming average spend is forecast to grow by 13.4% to MOP85.47 billion (US$10.7 billion in 2025) versus MOP75.36 billion last year. By 2030, they expect that non-gaming spend will rise from MOP94.37 billion to MOP111 billion.
