New York City May Get Nine-Story Hotel

Artifact filed plans for a nine-story, 40-key hotel at 23-27 Allen Street in Manhattan. Last year, only one hotel opened in New York City.
The DJIA was up 81 points while the Nasdaq was up 69, the S&P 500 rose 27 points and the 10-year treasury yield was up .01 to 4.15%. The best lodging stocks could do today was modestly lower to end the quarter.
Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, in Mexico, has completed the final phase of a comprehensive, multi-year renovation project, which included a redesign of all 112 guestrooms, suites and villas. The project also involved updates to the Beach Club Restaurant, the adult pool, and the Salon at the resort’s spa. The renovations are set to be unveiled on October 1.
Resolute Road Hospitality announced the opening of the Tru by Hilton Goodlettsville Nashville, located in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. SHIV SAI Hospitality Group, Inc. owns the property, which will be managed by Resolute Road Hospitality. The 98-room hotel includes an open lobby, a 24/7 market and a fitness center.
