IndiGo Cancellations Hit India Hotels

The mass cancellation of flights by IndiGo in India has resulted in a lot of cancellations of meetings and trips that are impacting hotels. Plus more hotel news.
STR/CoStar reported China hotel data for the week ended December 6th. China hotel RevPAR was down 0.1% year-over-year, up against a comp of a decline of 1.4% in the year-ago week. ADR was up 4.5% year-over-year, but occupancy was down 4.4%.
CoStar said a mix of events lifted Melbourne, Australia’s hotel ADR and RevPAR to all-time highs for November. Forward bookings for December are also said to be trending well ahead of 2024. November 2025 occupancy in Melbourne was up 4.9% to 82.6%. ADR was up 3.6% to A$243.47 resulting in an 8.6% rise in RevPAR to A$201.05. This was also the highest occupancy level for any month since 2019. November 1 was the first night of the Melbourne Cup Carnival and an Oasis Live 25 Tour concert, when ADR hit A$347.80 and RevPAR at A$311.23. November 22 was the other time ADR was above A$300 when the opening night of Giro della Donna 2025 coincided with the Boost Mobile AUSX Open Supercross. T
