Mexico's Secretary of Tourism reported that the country has spent over $42.4 billion USD in tourism promotions. In the first four months of 2026, Mexico's Tourism Investment Portfolio consisted of 773 projects, resulting in a 10% increase in the number of projects and a 16% increase in investment compared to the third quarter of 2025. Quintana Roo represents the largest amount of planned tourist investment with 20% of the national total, followed by Nayarit with 19%, Jalisco with 12%, and Baja Sur at 9%.
