STR reported China hotel data for the week ended July 26th. Hotel RevPAR in China was down 5.2% year-over-year. It was up against what should have been an easy comp with a decline of 11.3% in the year-ago week. China hotel occupancy was down 4.1% year-over-year for the 2025 week, while ADR was down 1.2%.
Indian Hotels Company announced the opening of Vivanta Thane, LBS Road, marking the brand’s debut in one of the fastest-growing urban districts of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The 97-key Vivanta Thane includes Mynt, the all-day diner. The hotel’s signature bar is Wink, while Swirl is the chic patisserie at the lobby level. Other amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center and an infinity pool that overlooks the city and hills. For business and social gatherings, Vivanta Thane houses banqueting and meeting venues. With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 17 hotels in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, including five under development.
