The DJIA ended Friday up 173, while Nasdaq rose 161, the S&P 500 was up 32 points, and the 10-year treasury yield, which was barely staying above 4% before the Fed interest rate cut, was up another .04 to 4.14%. Lodging stocks were mixed. SOND was the only mover of note, down -6% on the day.
The Oshkosh Marriott Waterfront Hotel and its in-house restaurant celebrated their grand opening. The property, located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and purchased by Scarlett Hotel Group in February 2023, underwent a complete renovation and rebrand before relaunching as the Oshkosh Marriott Waterfront Hotel. All guestrooms and public spaces were redesigned, while the former pool area was converted into the Anchor & Port restaurant. Upgrades also included the introduction of the M Club. A new private waterfront dining space was also added, and event spaces were refreshed.
