Australia's Inbound Tourism Remains 10% Below 2019 Levels

STR reported China hotel data for the week ended September 20th. China Hotel RevPAR was up 13.7% year over year, up against an easy comp of a decline of -15.8% in the year-ago week. ADR was down -0.2% for the week ended September 20th, with the gains all occupancy, up 13.9%.
Macau is expected to receive around 1.2 million visitors during the upcoming National Day Golden Week, with daily arrivals projected to average 150,000, according to the Macao Government Tourism Office. The eight-day holiday combined National Day with the Mid-Autumn Festival. The MGTO expects hotel occupancy in Macau to exceed 90%. That may be a bit disappointing on the low end since August exceeded that anyway. August visitation set a new monthly record at 4.22 million.
