Marriott and Hyatt Expand Their Luxury Portfolios

Marriott and Hyatt revealed their luxury pipelines for 2026 at ILTM, plus more hotel development news.

The DJIA rose 408 points while Nasdaq was up 40, the S&P 500 gained 21 points, and the 10-year treasury yield was down -.03 to 4.06%. Lodging stocks were higher. MAR traded up to a new all-time high. AHT hit a new low but then bounced 4% on the day. SVC was up 6% and BHR rose 5%.

Mizuho analyst Ben Chaiken initiated coverage of Wyndham Hotels with a Neutral rating and $71 price target.

STR reported U.S. lodging data for the week ended 11/29. U.S. hotel RevPAR was down -0.7% year over year. Group RevPAR was down -0.2%.

DiamondRock Hospitality announced a regular fourth-quarter dividend of $0.08 per share plus a stub dividend of $0.04 per common share. The $0.36 per share dividend for the year was a 12.5% increase over 2024. DRH said they expect to up the regular quarterly dividend to $0.09 per common share in 2026 and then give another stub dividend in the fourth quarter of 2026.
