JP Morgan said its JPM Hotel Tracker showed major listed Chinese hotels maintained their ADR strength throughout the Chinese New Year holidays this year. They see improvement from pre-CNY in March, but still more mixed and not enough to confirm the industry RevPAR can return to positive YoY growth in March or the rest of the year. Its Tracker showed the major listed Chinese hotel companies’ ADR was up by 3% to 7%, approaching check-in dates for CNY holidays. Atour and H World were said to be stronger than Jinjiang and BTG.
The Macao Government Tourism Office said Macau’s hotel establishments recorded an average occupancy rate of 95.6% over the nine-day Chinese New Year Golden Week. The highest occupancy rate was on the fourth day, February 20th, when occupancy reached 99.2%.
