Macau's 147 hotels recorded 10.9 million guests in the first nine months of the year, reflecting year-on-year growth of 0.1%. The Statistics and Census Bureaureported in September that the hotel industry in Macau welcomed 1.1 million guests, unchanged from last year. The number of hotel rooms was up year over year by 2.4% to 45,000. Chinese mainland guests accounted for 74.3% of all guests in the first nine months of the year, up 1.3%. The number of foreign guests rose by 9.5% to 854,000, with South Koreans accounting for 29.1% of all foreign guests.
