STR/CoStar reported China hotel data for the week ended February 28th. Hotel RevPAR in China was down 0.8% year-on-year, up against an easy comp of a RevPAR decline of 4.6% in the year ago week. The Chinese New Year Golden Week lasted until March 3, 2026. That sent ADRs up 10% for the week ending February 28th, but occupancy was down 9.8%.
Capstone Asset announced the launch of Peylaa Phuket, marking the debut of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection Residences within the Asia Pacific region. The development is currently under construction with completion expected in 4Q 2027.
